Dert is full of love

Thinking of 'the remix' and all things bootleg, I thought I'd share a brilliant beat tape from Dert. Following his 'Westside of the moon' tape under the name Dert Floyd, he has taken the same sample heavy approach and applied it Bjork. And it works!

Continuing the beats theme, here is a lengthy but fascinating 'lecture' from Chuck D of Public Enemy in which Chuck walks through the history of hip-hop and "the beauty of culture" as a whole. Whether speaking out against the exclusion of women in hiphop, or in support of the democratisation of media in the digital age, he barely stops for 2 hours. The epitome of keeping it real.
