Staying with fresh beats, heres a 12 which is described on boomkat as "a pixel eaten fusion of brain-frying 8-Bit chiptune melodics and slumped post-Dilla bloop-hop." Brilliant release from a solid label.

What's your favourite song to sing in the shower?

Skeng has been around for years but still kicks the shit out of a dance with irresistible stop/start rhythm, crowd friendly vocals and of course, epic bass! On the flip the original gets totally reworked by Kode 9 himself, adding skippy percussion and spasm-inducing rises to the mix. Awesome.

Also, the disclaimer is not just for looks: if you love underground music you must support the artists who produce the music. Get your arse on Rooted and buy the mother!

If you aren't the vinyl type, I can recommend the newest Bug album, available on boomkat:

BONUS: Found a little promo mix done by Kode 9 which pulls together fragments of the album in a 17 minute blazedown.
